Be kind and tender to the Frog,

Reptiles and Amphibians

And do not call him names,
As "Slimy skin," or "Polly-wog,"
Or likewise "Ugly James,"
Or "Gap-a-grin," or "Toad-gone-wrong,"
Or "Bill Bandy-knees":
Oriental Whip snake
The Frog is justly sensitive
To epithets like these.

Me, I'm not all that fond of reptiles and amphibians. My childhood days of picking up frogs and toads are long gone, snakes make me nervous, and reading about Komodo dragons was decidedly worrying. Somehow though, I seem to be collecting enough images of cold-blooded animals that they need their own separate gallery. Interestingly, several of my pictures of snakes get more public views on other databases than any of the cuddly animal babies or magnificent tigers. Each to his own, and if you enjoy these interesting creatures I hope you will enjoy my images of them!
