Rowboats

The rich browns and reds of these historic rowing boats in Keswick glow in the sun of the late afternoon. Drawn up on the shore of Derwentwater, they are available for tourists to hire. They are not necessarily the steadiest craft on the water, and if you wait long enough you will be rewarded with squeaks and squawks as hapless neophytes are unceremoniously dumped into the lake. Pattern pictures always appeal to me.
