Blue-bellied Roller
The Blue-bellied roller is common, noisy bird of the African savannah, found from Senegal and Gambia to Sudan. Two to three eggs are laid in a cavity or a tree or branch between April and July. Incubation lasts about a week, and the young are on their own in about 4 weeks. They grow to roughly 11 inches from head to tail, with a 14 inch wingspan.
