Cathedral Cove, New Zealand

The Cathedral Cove Recreation Reserve, known as Te Whanganui A Hei in Maori, is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in New Zealand. The name comes from the cave that links Mare’s Leg Cove with Cathedral Cove. It is only accessible by a walking track that takes about 45 minutes each way, or by sea, but it is very popular with tourists and receives as many as 150,000 visitors a year.
