Common Grass Yellow butterfly, (Eurema hecabe)

A Common Grass Yellow butterfly (Eurema hecabe) pauses on a yellow Sulphur Alder flower. This is a relatively small butterfly, with a wingspan of just 4-5 cm. They range throughout Africa, India and Asia, and are a common sight fluttering rapidly and erratically, usually close to the ground. They enjoy mud puddling.
