Great Egret

Great Egret (ardea alba) searching for frogs and insects in long grass at the side of a marsh. The great egret is a large white member of the heron family with a heavy yellow bill and blackish legs. They are common in wetlands. This was taken at Brazos Bend State Park in Texas.
