Horsethief Canyon, Southern Alberta

The lush farmlands beside the Red Deer River are a marked contrast to the eerie landscape of the badlands of Southern Alberta. Dinosaur Provincial Park is a World Heritage Site containing some of the most important deposits of dinosaur remains and bone beds in the world. The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology is located near the town of Drumheller, in the heart of the Alberta badlands.
