A lacemaker working in her doorway in Brugge. She is creating bobbin lace, an art that is quickly disappearing from European society. She did not mind me taking her picture (for a few coins), but she certainly did not wish to smile for the camera! As it is, the severe look of concentration on her face illustrates the intricate nature of her craft.
