Lion
You might think this lion is snarling, but in fact he is testing the air for scents. Cats have a special organ called the Jacobson’s organ, located behind the front teeth and above the roof of the mouth. The grimace, called flehmen, allows the lion to test the air for scents, including the one that tells him his female is ready to mate.
