Musk mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos)
The huge dinner plate sized flowers of the musk mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos) make spectacular hedging and borders in a large garden. Also known as swamp-rose mallow, rose mallow, hardy hibiscus or perennial hibiscus, they are native to the Carolinas. They are winter hardy, preferring moist soil and full sun to part shade.
