Old City Hall, Willemstad, Netherlands

The brick tower of the Old City Hall building in Willemstad. Black and white diagonals decorate the closed shutters of the windows. The building was constructed in 1537. Money had been provided to build a church with a tower, but not enough for a city hall. The solution was to build a city hall with a tower and a church bell, with space provided for holding church services.
