Painted Trillium

The Painted Trillium is a member of the lily family, growing in acid woods and bogs. This native wildflower blooms in April through June in eastern US and Canada. It is listed as threatened, endangered, or vulnerable in Kentucky, New York, Michigan, and Ohio. The perennial plant produces a shiny red berry later in the year.
