Ponte Romana, Silves

Ponte Romana crossing the River Arade, Silves, Algarve, Portugal. Although it is known as the Roman Bridge, it is believed that only the foundations may date back to the Romans, the remainder of the bridge is medieval. The construction is of brick, with five round arches separated by piers.
