The Yorkshire Dales now hold a special place in my heart.  A few years ago, we purchased a beautiful Georgian farmhouse on the edge of the bustling market town of Hawes in Wensleydale.  We look forward to our stay in our lovely home each year, but when we are elsewhere, it is available as a vacation rental.  The house is large, with 4 ensuite bedrooms, sleeping 7 guests.  It is an ideal location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, suitable for several couples or a group of friends.  Walking, cycling, and interesting drives in James Herriot country are right on the doorstep.  Hawes offers pubs, restaurants, two small supermarkets, and a variety of independent shops. Around the corner is the world famous Wensleydale Creamery making local cheese of a style that has been made in the valley since the 12th century.
