The Old Barn at Dawn

In the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, the land is ideal for cattle ranching. Although the winters are long and cold, regular warm Chinook winds alleviate excessive snow accumulations. An abundance of native grasses and mountain streams ensure a good supply of food and water. Ranching began in the 1870’s and continues today.
